Need sheets for your college dorm room?

December 15th, 2007 by Bedding Expert

A twin extra long bed is 5 inches longer than a regular twin bed. This mattress is found in many college dorms and some mechanical hospital-type beds. Twin extra long beds require mattress pads, bedskirts and fitted sheets specifically designed for this size bed. Comforters, flat sheets and blankets are typically sized to fit both twin and twin extra long beds.

Twin XL beds are commonly found in dorm rooms, so every college freshman needs a set of these!

Decorating Styles: Country

December 10th, 2007 by Bedding Expert

Don’t know what kind of decorating style you have? Well there’s so many styles out there that it’s had to think of which one you may fall into. I love watching TLC and HGTV and getting more ideas as to what I may be able to do with my house.

Do you like most of the rooms that Frank on TLC’s Trading Spaces designs? Most of what he does is a crafty country decorating style. He will typically draw animals on the wall and have wooden cows and other animals in the room. The country part of crafty country is the ruffled curtains and light fixtures made of antlers. The crafty part of it is taking older items and making them into something different. Taking old window shutters and combining them to make a privacy screen. You may take an old door and make it into a desk. The possibilities are endless.
