Hooded towels are a good idea for baby showers

August 9th, 2007 by Bedding Expert

Need a good idea to purchase for a new baby or for the baby shower? Hooded towels are bath towels with a small hood in a corner. They are used to wrap and dry a baby after bathing. A hooded towel helps to keep your baby’s head warm and makes drying more complete. A hooded towel can be used as they get older so it’s not just for babies.

These towels come in many different designs. You can get some that make you look like a character off of your favorite cartoon. They can range from the plain ones with New York Yankees or Boston Red Sox on it to Disney characters like Princess, Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, Cars, Spiderman, Finding Nemo, and Thomas the train.

Cotton is the most commonly used fabric for hooded towels. Extra care should be taken while washing a baby’s hooded bath towel to retain its softness and absorbency.
