What is a Coverlet?

Coverlets are lightweight, like a quilt. Coverlets are used over the duvet cover as a decorative finish when the bed is made and is teamed with decorative pillow shams made of the similar or contrasting fabric. They tend to be used in warmer areas of the country in the summer, instead of a comforter or bedspread.

Coverlets cover the top of bed only, similar to a comforter. Coverlets do not cover the bed pillows or hang to the floor like a bedspread. They are most often used in conjunction with both a bed skirt and shams. You will find that coverlets are often sold as an exact match in design to a comforter.

They are lightweight, great for summer use or just for snuggling on your favorite sofa.

Measurements should include the size of the bed and the depth of the mattress (including any pad or enhancers).
